    <description>&lt;P&gt;Click on this link for the specs for your TV,&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/televisions/a9-series/specifications" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/televisions/a9-series/specifications&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Go down to Connectivity.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;USB recording is available.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Formats for HD should either be FAT16, FAT32, exFAT or NTFS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you plug the HDs in to the USB ports of the TV do you get an onscreen message.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;telling you if the connected USB is not the correct format or a message saying a USB device has been&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;detected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are the HD drives you are using self powered, I don't think the TVs USBs ports can provide enough&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;power for traditional HDs or SSDs, maybe just enough to power a flash drive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;H3&gt;KE-48A9&lt;/H3&gt;&lt;P&gt;I plugged in an external HDD and formatted it for recoding but got the message "Recordings are not supported". Thinking there was a problem with the hard drive I purchased a new 2TB drive, plugged it in then formatted it for recordings. Same again, got the message&amp;nbsp;Recordings are not supported&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Got it sorted now. I just had to make sure I was not in the youview programme guide.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The big problem is that the instructions are extremely poor and do not tell you this!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
