disable teletext subtitles

Hi,

On Sony KD-55A8, when watching TV on the first channel, automatic teletext subtitle pops in. I can disable it but not permanently. When I switch back from another channel to this channel 1, it pops in again.

This happened with my A80J. The only solution was to retune then never touch the subtitle button on the remote ever again.

Is this on Freesat, rather than Freeview?

It is known to happen on Freesat, and there is as yet no fix.
