HDD recording

Hi. I have a KD-55X8509C tv which has an HDD Rex USB port but when I go to register the HDD there is no recording device option in the settings menu. The software is up to date according to the tv

I have restarted the tv a couple of times to no avail. Can anyone help please

You have to exit YouView mode if you want to record.
