I have downloaded (twice) the v5417 update for 2015 TV's onto 2 different USB sticks (tried all partition types) but the TV comes up with the error "system software cannot be updated using this usb device".

I have always previously updated the firmware in this manner and have never had this problem before.

Sony are you sure you have posted the correct version for the UK?

I should add that I have performed the factory reset procedure twice but still get the same error

OK just downloaded it a 3rd time and this time it seems to be working.
