How to power off the TV?

I have xf9005 for a week. A great TV, but I don't understand how to power it off. I press the power button on the back side of the TV for several seconds. As a result, TV shows a message like "Hold the button to turn off..." and then a display becomes "black". If I press the power button on the remote now - I immediately see everything that was run before I turned the TV off. So it looks like TV goes in standby mode instead of turning off. How can I turn off the TV without disconnecting the power?

Hi @arthyrik and welcome to the Community

The control on your remote only puts the TV into standby mode.

The only way to fully power off is to unplug the TV

(I can't remember if your model has a dedicated power switch on the back

if so that should power off the TV too)

Thank you @jumpsuit. Yes, there is a dedicated power button on the back. But, TV goes in standby mode instead of turning off when I press it and hold for several seconds.

Yeah, I think the screen going black is the standby version of a power off.

In the manual next to the power button on your remote

it states " (TV Standby) Turn on or turn off the TV (standby mode)

That is weird. The manual says that button on the back side should power TV off. But that doesn't happen and TV goes in standby mode.

It looks like unplugging is still the

only way to definately cut the electrical current
