Bravia KD-43X8309C blocked by Sony SVR-HDT500 PVR

I have a Bravia as above and have attached a Sony PVR via HDMI 2 (I have no Satellite) and all is good until PVR switches on to record, then my TV is switches input and I end up locked onto one channel. The solution last night was to pull the HDMI lead out. TV responds again but not really a solution. I have also tried in other ports with equal problems. Can anyone suggest how I should set this up?

For information I also have Sony STR-DN610 AV Reciever and Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player attached.

Disable Bravia sync, does this work?

As Risc0n says above try disabling 'control for hdmi' on the PVR.

I also have the SVR-HDT500B - its sitting at the bottom of my cupboard. Mine has serious HDMI-CEC issues, but barely use it these days.
