I did a factory reset of my TV today. Now Sony select will not load, which means I am missing BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime.

I tried manually starting but it comes up with the above error. Was all working fine until reset, tried multiple factory reset and still same error.

What is causing the problem, I have the firmware that came out last week

Sony XE90

Yes i did a factory reset tonight, had previously been ok, but post reset nothing and no sony select hence no iplayer too. If you enable or go through youview it is there, but i dont like that method at all.

@Risc0n wrote:

@imcgarry wrote:

I know sounds daft but reassureing you are having the same problem as me at least not a tv problem, and is sony side

That’s actually encouraging.

I am still having problems.

Now the sony select apps have reappeared, however at least some do not work.

I cannot open bbc iPlayer and ITV (possibly others). When I try and do so, they each say ‘loading’ and then eventually ‘an error has occurred. Please try again later’.

Any ideas?

Have you tried doing a soft reset of your tv? Don't know whetherthis nwill work but nothing to lose.

With the tv switched on, direct the remote at it and press the power button for 5 sec or so until a powering off message appears. Then wait about 20 secs for tv to re-start itself.
