Satellite connections

My new KD-55XE85 has dual satellite connectors, but currently it is working on the single feed I have in the room. I have a spare position on the quad LNB and could run another cable. What are the benefits of having two feeds?

There are two connectors to allow for two different feeds without having to switch.

Presumably then we can watch one satellite channel and record another. Can we record a satellite channel at the same time as recording a terrestrial channel?

Will there be a full online description of all the features and functions and how to use them. Currently the information provided is extremely limited.
