Casting to KD55X8509C only Works with Wifi

I cannot view Google cast photos/videos sent from my phone to my TV using the wired LAN network setting.

However, if I remove the ethernet cable from the back of the TV and change the network setting to Wi-Fi.then it works fine and I can cast successfully. I use the wired LAN as a matter of course so would prefer not to have to disconnect the ethernet cable and change the network settings every time I want to cast from my phone.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any advice/ideas that might help me?

As suggested in my question, I have a working cable LAN network, so sorry but generic advice on how to set one up is not helpful to me.

I think the problem is your network router, that blocks the connection between wlan and lan.

Buy a new network router.
