update to v6.2671 firmware KD-49XE9005 failed

Hi I have problem with updating to latest firmware from 27.10.2017 v6.2671 online update found nothing also when i update from usb stick tv start updating but after about 25 percent it reboot and say update succesfull but firmware is not updated at all. TV still has initial nougat from april 2017, i have also ttried factory reset and update but nothing has changed.

What else shou'd I do?

Hi current firmware is ok and running, OTA update also not working it's stuck at checking for update for an hours but nothing is downlaoded, no message, simply still checking

Youre lucky it did not brick as my KD-75XE9005 did.

Brand new bought on black friday.

When i conencted it to the internet, it asked to update.

After update was done, it restarted and there is only sound and no pictures.
Can see grey boxes on the panel if i use flashlight on it.

Factoryreset or reinstall firmware from USB does not work. Still the same.

As sony has blocked installation of same or older firmware as is allready on the tv there is no fix for me.

And im stuck with a bricked new TV.

One week has almost passed, they say the need to take the tv in for service.

They can not fix it at my home.

It can take a few days before they can pick it up and atleast two weeks after that to repair.

Then to get it back to me will take a few days.

So im probaly without my new tv for atleast one month.

Tragic.

It will probably not be in perfect condition after transport and repair.

Trying to solve it with the store so i can get a brand new tv, but they dont have it in stock.

I cannot understand why sony has blocked reinstall of same firmware or older firmware.

Please make an updated revision of the firmware for me to try install so my tv can accept it!

Sorry to hear you'll have to wait a bit longer.

I'm not sure if you were asking me or Sony to make an updated firmware.

(I don't work for Sony)

Have you arranged the repair?

(Will the store still exchange if you have arranged it?)

If you have and are worried about any damage then

take video / photos of the condition of the TV before it leaves for repair

just in case.

Sorry there's no easy fix.
